Important Concrete information

Have you considered what excess water can do to concrete? Concrete should contain enough water to create a mixture that has a relatively stiff consistency, which works without segregating. Normally, concrete delivered to projects has a slump between 3 and 4 inches. If drivers add excess water, it will affect the durability of your mixture and will reduce the strength of your concrete.

Warnings:

Do not use deicers on your new driveway, sidewalk, garage floor, or patio. Especially in the first winter after installation. Commercial fertilizers like ammonium sulfate or ammonium nitrate are commonly used as deicing agents. Although they work well on snow, they will rapidly deteriorate your concrete.
